You’ve Got Questions. We Have Answers.

We know trying something new—especially when it comes to your health—can bring up questions. Here are some of the most common ones we hear at our Greenville, NC clinic. If you still need help, feel free to reach out directly—we’re happy to talk with you.

What does acupuncture feel like?

Most people feel little to no discomfort when acupuncture needles are inserted. You may experience a brief sensation—tingling, warmth, or heaviness—but it typically fades quickly. Many patients find treatments relaxing and even fall asleep during sessions

How many acupuncture sessions will I need?

It depends on your condition and your goals. Acute issues may resolve in just a few visits, while chronic or complex conditions often require a longer treatment plan. We’ll discuss a personalized strategy with you during your initial consultation.

Is acupuncture safe?

Yes. When performed by a licensed practitioner like ours, acupuncture is extremely safe. We use sterile, single-use, medical-grade stainless steel needles and follow all state and national safety guidelines.

Can I do acupuncture alongside other medical treatments?

Absolutely. Acupuncture integrates well with conventional medicine, physical therapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy and other modalities. We often work collaboratively with local healthcare providers in the Greenville area to support your full wellness plan.

What’s the difference between acupuncture and dry needling?
Acupuncture is rooted in Chinese Medicine and recognizes everything in our body is connected—addressing both symptoms and root causes. Dry needling is more muscular in focus and is typically used to release trigger points and tight muscles. We offer both modalities and will recommend what’s best for your needs.
What conditions do you treat?

We treat a wide range of issues, including:

  • Chronic pain (back, neck, migraines, TMJ, sciatica)
  • Sports injuries (sprains, tendonitis, post-surgery recovery)
  • Hormonal imbalances (PMS, PCOS, thyroid, menopause)
  • Autoimmune diseases (Lupus, MS, Hashimoto’s)
  • Fertility and reproductive health (menstrual cycle regulation and pain)
  • Anxiety, sleep disorders, and general health concerns

Visit our What We Treat page for a full list.

Do you accept insurance?
We do not bill insurance directly, but we’re happy to provide superbills upon request that you can submit for reimbursement if your plan covers acupuncture. Many patients use HSA or FSA funds to pay for treatment.
What should I expect during my first visit?
Your first appointment includes a comprehensive consultation where we discuss your current concern, health history, and goals. We’ll answer all your questions and present our best clinical plan to make your goals a reality.
